Climate problem. The temperature in Northeast China is lower than that in the south, especially in winter, the temperature in some areas is as low as more than 40 degrees. Be extra careful when using resin tiles in extremely cold areas, and choose high-end resin tiles and related accessories, such as ridge tiles. Low-end ridge tiles are generally strong, but poor in toughness. When used in areas with low temperatures in winter, they are prone to cracking due to thermal expansion and contraction.
Installation problem, the angle of resin tile ridge tiles is generally fixed. Designed according to the height-span ratio of 1:5-6. Suitable for roofs with a slope of about 20-40 degrees. If the actual installation angle is lower than 20 degrees, the ridge tile needs to be specially processed, such as heating and softening it to adjust it to a suitable installation angle. Without special processing, the physical form of the ridge tile cannot be directly pressed or stepped on to forcibly change. This will cause the expansion force to be unable to be released, and there is a risk of cracking when used in cold areas.
If freezing and cracking have occurred, we can replace the ridge tile with a more suitable angle. If conditions permit, it is recommended to use high-end quality ridge tiles. In areas with large local temperature differences, it is recommended to use short tiles for splicing. If cracks only appear in individual places, you can use butyl tape to paste them.
Summary: Resin tiles are good things, but be careful not to only consider the cost, but also pay more attention to the quality. At the same time, strictly follow the operating specifications for construction.
